I remember watching Mr. Casper play golf when I was a boy growing up and when I took up golf.   A Hall of Famer and a true gentleman.  Gary Player and Arnie were my favorite, but Mr. Casper always seemed to be in their shadows, right on their heels.  I never heard anything bad about Billy…..he is a great role model.

We also lost Charlie Sifford this past week.   Like Billy Casper a true gentleman.  Golf is known as a gentleman’s game; these two men (professionals) are the perfect example of what this game represents; sportsmanship, honesty and fair play with a competitive spirit.  They also taught us how to enjoy the game, if we were paying attention; Charlie with a cigar, he always brings a smile.
