Another scheduled Republican debate tonight.   Is that what it is, we haven’t really seen one?   They are more like accusation finger pointing contests.   This one, now that its down to 4 participants could get really ugly.   They’ll have more time to pound on each other; it’ll be a wrestling match free-for-all.   Not a tag team, there is no team, just a good ole fashion free-for-all.   Kasich will be the little boy that stands by and observes…….will say “fellas can’t we get along”.   Hillary will later say, “look at the Republican rhetoric, we need more love” (while of course she is grinning on the inside); but she has other problems, far more serious than the Republican cons.

Hillary is a con as well, she is worse than a con…..she is a felon who has sold out her country.

THE CONSPIRACY AGAINST DONALD TRUMP: sure there is!

 

Good evening ladies and gentlemen; welcome to CNN’s Republican Presidential debate.   Tonight’s main topic of discussion, ridicule and gang bang politics will be Donald Trump.   All questions ask of the candidates will be centered around something the Donald has said, believed to have said, wished he had said, and if not, we’ll just say he said it.

CNN certainly got the circus it was hoping for, good entertainment and verbal sparing.   CNN helped bait, almost conspire with Cruz and Rubio to slam Trump from left and right.  They know Trump won’t ball into a fetal position or melt away, they hoped to embarrass and push him to blow a gasket.  I don’t think Trump can be embarrassed and he didn’t blow, he did punch back, in typical Trump fashion.

Cruz and Rubio made comments that we didn’t need a President that would make deals.  Really?  It seemed from my perspective, watching Trump take it from both sides, as if, Cruz and Rubio made a deal to simultaneously taken on the Donald.  They didn’t spend much time attacking one another, they were too busy with Trump.   Trump got his allotted response time, so things went back and forth.   Kasich and Carson sacrificed time.  It is unfair that not all the candidates got equal time; but I guess CNN only wanted the main event; the 2 on 1 bash-fest.  The Republican Establishment is doing its best to get Trump to disappear.  They could use Cruz, anti-Estab himself, but tonight he’ll be glad to side with us, with our choice Rubio.

Something else I noticed, and this might be an indication why our representatives don’t govern like we expect, don’t fulfill promises; Trump explained three or four times why he has not yet turned over his tax returns (won’t get into that now), but Cruz and I believe Rubio kept asking him for the returns.  See folks, the two Senators don’t listen!

On Trump’s explanation he won’t give up his tax returns until an audit has been completed.  He said he has been audited for the past 12 years every year.   You see Trump will listen to his lawyers, he is also a smarter businessman.   Why would you make public your taxes in the middle of an audit.   What if there was something, you didn’t know about, couldn’t immediately explain………but could following an audit.  The audit covers it.

Trump, if he didn’t win the debate; in the very least proved he is a smarter businessman than Mitt Romney!

Romney was the Establishment’s shooter, what can we get to put Trump on the defensive?   Tax returns?   We don’t have to be right……… just throw out an insinuation.   Something to speculate, something rumors get started from; what better than taxes.  Look what it did to me!   Trump was ready and handled it well, and it was logical; what a great businessman might do.

TED CRUZ BLOWING SMOKE

Ted Cruz is twisting issues and positions of the other candidates to something other than factual and truthful.   He is attempting to leave voters with negative images against reality.   He did it to Dr. Carson in Iowa and he is attempting to smear Trump in South Carolina.   Cruz made a comment that if Trump were elected president we would lose the 2nd Amendment forever……..  because Trump would appoint a liberal Supreme Court judge.   Trump has said more than once, that Scalia and Thomas were two of his favorite SC  judges, they were/are conservatives. Trump would not appoint a judge that would favor eliminating the 2nd amendment.   Securing the 2nd Amendment is a priority to Trump and Cruz knows it.

Cruz is desperate for support and he is doing it with deceit.  I had a lot of respect for Cruz, but have lost a lot of it over the last 2 or 3 weeks.  The pressure of the campaign is bringing out the real Ted Cruz.  He like the establishment politicians he so criticizes will say anything to get elected.

Presidential debates, especially with seven participants aren’t so much about who wins, but who survives.

BEHAVIORAL POLITICS OF DONALD TRUMP?

 

GOTCHA!  A gotcha question?  No, but possibly made you Trump lovers and haters look!

We’ve seen/listened to seven Republican debates……..I,  6 and 1/10th.   I am not sure how many Democratic debates there have even been.  I can’t stomach Hillary Clinton, nor do I really care to listen to a socialist.   It is what it is!   For the sake of a number for this post/article (I’d really like to call it an article) lets go with three.

There isn’t a single candidate from either party that is as great as they paint themselves.  With the exception of:     LOL 🙂  Just having fun.

There isn’t a single candidate from either side that is as bad as the others say they are.

With the exception of:   Not so funny.    She isn’t jail bait, she is the catch.

I’m going to take a bit of a turn here now.  Lets push Hillary to the side for a while.  (Oh wait a minute, just heard Hillary had made a statement once regarding the classified emails:  from the Hill “They weren’t classified when they were sent to me.”  Excuse me, I am on the floor.   So, just when do they become classified………after?  Is she counting on never?).

Back to the subject:  Many people, those that dislike/hate (I know I use a lot of /) Trump, criticize him for crazy, out of control, rude, narcissistic and sometimes abusive behavior.   The difference between Trump and elected officials such as Congress, Trump is open about it, he doesn’t sugar coat, says what is on his mind, yes gets rude. Congress….. its all behind closed doors.   They hide, go in the closet, make their deals, scream and kick like children until they get their way.  You give me this, I’ll vote for and give you that.   Bad deals, everyday.   Trump knows this!   I know this and I know I am sounding like an endorsement now……it really isn’t.    There have been presidents elected that had the same or at least somewhat the same mentality as Trump.

One thing you get from Trump,  ‘You get what you see’.   Can you say that about Obama?

 

 

ARLIN REPORT THOUGHT OF THE DAY

 

Last night was certainly exciting wasn’t it? 😉

We had the Trumpless Republican debate.   I guess they had a debate, I didn’t watch it.  That’s not entirely true I saw a couple closing remarks as I was scanning the channels.  I did see Megyn Kelly later over-hyping it, as she did the night before, “Oh its going to be so exciting, let the fireworks begin.”

Then we had Trumps event down the street, I did watch that, a full house at Drake U.  Trump wasn’t nasty to anyone, brought a couple of campaign competitors on stage he had invited, some veterans…….. Nothing explosive happened!   I don’t think the event helped him for the caucus that much, but it didn’t hurt.

If I were Trump, here is how I would spend my weekend in Iowa.   Stay out of the gymnasiums, the banquet halls, etc…, replace those with the STREETS.   He should hit the neighborhoods, walk the streets, knock on a few doors where there are real people.  It’ll help him in New Hampshire, they just have to see what he is doing.   People, real Americans, not corporate America or political leaches but real Americans.  Kiss a baby or two.   Hillary won’t do it, and Donald it is Hillary you must beat, unless of course we get that indictment we are praying.

In the midst of all the excitement, let us not forget Hillary is under investigation, an indictment is lurking.

TRUMP……

What else can you say, except Trump?   There is more to Trump’s boycott of the Republican debate tonight besides a teenage feud with Megyn Kelly; one that she has thrown fuel on as well.  Little miss cute face loves the limelight, they have what is called in the corporate and even the private world, a personality conflict.   When you have that in business, one usually ends up quitting or being FIRED!   So Trump fired Fox.   At this point as Hillary Clinton would say “What difference does it make.”

What are the Fox moderators going to ask the candidates tonight that has not already been ask?   We’re going to hear the same answers, same statements we have already heard in the previous six debates.   I am not buying into the “Trump owes it to Iowa to show up, so they can learn more about Trump and the over populated Republican participants.   Most of these candidates should have already left.  Besides, how much speaking time does each candidate total in a debate, and how much of that time are they simply criticizing each other.  Each debate will have one or two candidates giving a cleaver answer or statement, but for an overwhelming amount of time, it is going to be your typical broken record………

Trump, with his own event, will have more to say than he would in a debate.  He’ll own all the time.  If he is smart, he’ll take questions from the audience……and you can bet there will be some protesters present, that he will react to.   Whether Trump’s event is on the almighty Tube or not, it will be recorded and played, at least excerpts.   Every move and word from the Donald’s mouth gets recorded.

Trump is bucking tradition, he is bucking the establishment and he could care less about the media.   I would bet Trump gets plenty of airtime between now and the Iowa caucus.

Trump will be absent from the stage tonight, but still in the background.   I would bet the candidates give him a fair amount of THEIR own time.   The debate will be as much about Donald as it will about important national and world issues.   Trump more than survives this.

ARLIN REPORT LATE THOUGHT OF THE DAY

I have watched Fox News most of this Wednesday evening, The Kelly Files in particular.   It is quite obvious to me, regarding Thursdays Republican debate that Megyn Kelly is mostly interested in ………wait for this……….Megyn Kelly.   She’ll be on stage, she’ll want to put on a show, to shine up her own star.    Kelly won’t allow any candidate to shine brighter than or above her.    Despite other moderators………it will still be the Kelly File.

Megyn Kelly is more into creating than reporting or interviewing.    Kelly hasn’t gotten rid of Trump from the Campaign, which she does want to do.   She really isn’t responsible for Trump dodging the debate, just the excuse.    Trump isn’t fearful of Kelly, he likes confrontations.  He is just snubbing Fox………period.   His statement is simply, ‘You need me, I don’t need you.’

Interestingly, Kelly is really pushing the debate Thursday as “let the fireworks begin”,  “I’m so excited, I can’t wait” type comments.   Megyn Kelly is nervous the ratings will be less than the past, and the debate will be dull, ………without Trump.

TRUMP AND BUSH SHARE INSULTS, YES YOU DID JEB

To paraphrase Jeb Bush, “Donald you can’t insult your way to the White House.”  Then in the same breath, Jeb insults Trump, “he isn’t a serious candidate, he is a chaos candidate”.

Jeb, that made you a hypocrite.  Don’t worry though, professional politicians are hypocrites.   As far as insults, I haven’t seen many campaigns where political opponents smothered each other with compliments.   Insults have become the norm with campaigning, especially at the federal level.   Jeb, you keep saying, “Donald if you think this is hard, how are you going to handle the White House?”  Umm………Jeb, if you can’t take insults, if you actually made it to the White House, YOU AIN’T SEEN NOTHING YET.   Take a look at Obama and Hillary, they’re getting pounded with insults.   If you had a scoreboard of their insults, it would look like the numbers of our national debt.   Hillary is used to insults, or I should say negative criticism.   She acts like it doesn’t bother her, but then behind closed doors she goes nuts.   Eventually she cracks and shows her true self publicly.   I predict, this will all get to her and she will blowup.  Oh, sorry…….back to Jeb.

One more thing Jeb, on the issue of the Ban against Muslims into our country, directed at Trump:  He said temporary…….he also explained it was not a religious issue but a security issue.   Now, you probably don’t want to believe him, because you twisted what he had stated, you made it against all Muslims forever!   But I get it, professional politicians twist or spin everything.    Jeb, you want to fight ISIS, militant Muslims, by ENGAGING ARABS.   Your words!   We have been engaged with Arabs for forever, hows that working?   Saudi Arabia, how many Syrians are they taking in?   Jeb you are delusional.   Sorry for the insult.

CANDIDATES CAN’T FOLLOW THE RULES OF DEBATE

It amazes me, time after time, debate after debate, the Republicans and Democrats neither one can follow the rules of debate.   You get 90 seconds to answer, not 100 sec., not 120 seconds, 90!   The time limit bell rings, but they keep rambling on.   They don’t just finish their thought, they ramble on and on……Kasich!    Hillary does the same.    This isn’t just Republicans.

Maybe that isn’t a big deal to many of you.  No it isn’t life threatening or a threat to national security.   It is annoying and inconsiderate!     Tonight, Trump and Carson were the most considerate  with the rules of debate.

PLAY BY THE RULES.   I needed to rant on this just a bit.   Had I been back stage at the debate tonight, I would have searched for a roll of Duct Tape, walked behind Gov. Kasich and placed a strip over his freaking mouth.
