Good vs. Evil

It is really a religion of evil if it promotes killing non-believers, beating women, punishing rape victims, or selling your daughters as wives at 12?   I saw a picture of an ISIS member the other day with a 7-year-old he was taking as his bride.   There was total fear in her eyes.  It was disgusting.

People that inflict terror like this do not practice a religion of goodness, they are not even hiding behind a religion, they just tag themselves as religious, trying to convince themselves they have a faith.   But they don’t, because they have no conscience.  It is evil they worship.

JESUS AND ISLAM

I don’t know that much about Islam and their religious beliefs.   My knowledge is from  what I see from the news (which can be another story), videos, internet and blogs.  I use Google a lot for information that I am not familiar as many do.   I googled Jesus on Islam, this is what I found:

Muslim’s respect and honor Jesus, who in the Quran is called Isa (one name for him).  They believe that Jesus was one of man’s greatest messengers.  His virgin birth is confirmed in the Quran in a chapter entitled “Maryam”.

Muslims also do not believe that Jesus was crucified, that it was planned by his enemies to crucify him, but God rescued him and raised him up to Him.   They believe the likeness of Jesus was placed over another man, and that man was crucified, as Jesus.

From CBN.com on Jesus and Muslim belief “Christ is seen to be a Prophet and Envoy of God of “surpassing greatness” (according to one Muslim writer), but only a man and nothing more. As a performer of exceptional miracles, he was rescued by God from an untimely end, was raised up to heaven, and (according to certain traditions) will come back to earth again–to die a Muslim! He is not the Saviour of the world, and is certainly not God, or “the Son of God”.”

So, like it or not Christians do have some similar religious beliefs with Muslims.   Christians believe in the Bible’s version of Jesus, the Muslims the Quran.

I am a Christian, I have no interest in reading the Quran.   What I learn about Islam I will learn in bits and pieces as I have, by reading other sources.

This brings up more questions, why are Muslim Terrorists so intent on destroying Christians if they believe in the Quran.   Is it because we believe Jesus is our Saviour, and they only believe he was a man with a message?

Why are there always more questions than answers?

WE WON’T GET ANOTHER NOAH

Its half past midnight, August 3rd present day.  Unbelievably, pleasantly mild outside for summer in Missouri.  There is evidence of an active skunk nearby, hopefully it has not sprayed my Siberian Husky.  I call her Sky, Blackhawk’s Gray Sky is her registered name.

I have many thoughts bouncing around in my head, none related to the other, not directly anyway.   I don’t recall my parents ever giving much thought and concern about the kind of world their children and grandchildren would live.

I have two adult sons and a daughter.  After next month, all will be married. I have  three wonderful grandsons, the youngest born seven months ago, an eight and ten-year old.

With all that is bad and wrong with the world, what will their lives be like?   I know when my parents were growing up and while raising me, the world wasn’t perfect then either.   My father fought in Korea.   It was a violent world long before the present day; just seems like more of it spreading around.   Then again, there were 2 wars that were world-wide.  I guess it’s not much different now than the past after all.

I watched the movie NOAH this evening.   You know the story, a corrupt world being destroyed by our Creator.  God as He is known to me.  Noah’s family was spared to give mankind a fresh, 2nd chance Thanks Noah but we haven’t done so well.  Maybe my children and grandchildren (hoping for a granddaughter some day) along with yours will figure it out.  I’ll pray they do.
