LIFES LESSONS SHOULD BEGIN WITH LEARNING RESPECT
So now, 8 year olds/3rd graders take a knee during national anthem at a little league/grade school football game. The NFL does it, so should we! The coach defended this act by calling it a “learning moment”. A few will always follow the action of a few, with or without any understanding.
I’m not going to get into the details of what brought this about, but NFL players were taking a knee long before the Jason Stockley trial in St. Louis was even a story. But the boys on the east side of the Mississippi River used that and the NFL as their motivation.
What is lost or probably more accurately, never was, is these same kids were never taught how they got the right to kneel in protest/for any cause, which they can yet explain. They kneel and turn their back to the flag…….. the flag that represents their right to do so. When you do that, you turn your back to all those men and women who died for that flag and your rights, all of your rights; which especially include freedom of speech and expression. Learn some history before you paint your own history. How many of those kids will some day join the military or become officers of the law and look back and say, “what the hell was I thinking”. Do not judge until you have all the facts. People don’t want to do that. We all have a right to an opinion, this is mine.
ST. LOUIS SPORTS FANS
St. Louis sports fans, give up the anti-Kroenke chants at Blues games and sports bars. We’re better than that. We have known for sometime the Rams owner was an asshole. The Rams are gone from STL. There is nothing we can do about it now…deep greedy pockets will always prevail. It was his team, not yours and he let you know it.
There were lessons to be learned during this entire process to save the team. We could have assured Lord Stanley of the greatest multi-sports stadium ever built, it would not have mattered, he was taking his team and going to the West Coast for the brighter lights. He is the spoiled kid on the court that took his ball and went to play where he can have his way. Money always talks, and we all know the NFL is all about profit, no matter how deep they have to screw the fans.
Another lesson or a reminder, the NFL is a Rich Boys Club. Period. If you are in good standing or in this case, one of the richest men in the world, you are all it matters. That’s it, that is all it takes, and if guide lines are a road block…….not to worry, the Commish and the boys will throw the book out, they’ll FIX it. They weren’t going to hurt Stanley’s feelings.
The most profound lesson, the NFL is as politically corrupt as your government. These guys are politicians. The dirty work is behind closed doors, they’re like Congress.
St. Louis will survive Stan Kroenke and the Rams abandonment. You no longer have a losing team that, like Barack Obama, gave false hope and promises.
Stop the anti Kroenke chants now, time to move on already. It just gives him more attention. Become a KC Chiefs fan like me!
ARLIN REPORT THOUGHT OF THE DAY – COLLEGE FOOTBALL

Its opening college football Saturday today, much more exciting than the NFL! Go Mizzou!
ARLIN REPORT THOUGHT OF THE DAY

Stadium proposals for a couple of NFL teams to relocate in the L.A. area, how does that work without water? Is the drought over?
I guess follow the money!
ARLIN REPORT THOUGHT OF THE DAY

Politics in the NFL: A little political/professional sports satire, or is it? Tom Brady could benefit consulting the Queen of deceit Hillary R. Clinton on lies and deception and of course deletion. “I didn’t do it!”
NFL PAID TO GIVE TRIBUTE TO MILITARY

The greed of the NFL should not surprise us. It is a shame and a Sham for what they pretend to support.

NFL TEAMS PAID TO THANK TROOPS AT GAMES

Those salutes to American servicemen and women we all watch on the Jumbotron during halftime of NFL games? Turns out they are paid promotions costing taxpayers millions of dollars.
It’s a familiar scene to most Americans. The poignant moment when a soldier is honored for his or her service before a cheering crowd during halftime of an NFL game.
It turns out, however, that at least some of these patriotic displays are not what they seem.
A New Jersey-based website, NJ.com, has a detailed report that reveals the Department of Defense is paying millions of dollars to many NFL teams in what are essentially paid promotions to honor America’s heroes.
When the Jets paused to honor soldiers of the New Jersey Army National Guard at home games during the past four years, it was more than a heartfelt salute to the military — it was also worth a good stack of taxpayer money, records show. The Department of Defense and the Jersey Guard paid the Jets a total of $377,000 from 2011 to 2014 for the salutes and other advertising, according to federal contracts. Overall, the Defense Department has paid 14 NFL teams $5.4 million during that time, of which $5.3 million was paid by the National Guard to 11 teams under similar contracts.
This does not mean, of course, that all halftime events featuring troops or veterans are paid promotions. However, the fact that many are could undermine such efforts and “leaves a bad taste in your mouth” one lawmaker said.
“Those of us go to sporting events and see them honoring the heroes,” said Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake in an interview with NJ.com. “You get a good feeling in your heart. Then to find out they’re doing it because they’re compensated for it, it leaves you underwhelmed. It seems a little unseemly.”
It’s hardly a secret that the NFL is one of the leading recruitment vehicles for the U.S. military. The problem, Flake implies, is that these events are portrayed as genuine moments of gratitude expressed to America’s servicemen, not advertisements.
The Department of Defense offers a breakdown (below) of payments since 2011. Teams that received taxpayer funds include the Baltimore Ravens ($799,000), Cincinnati Bengals ($138,960) Cleveland Browns ($22,500), the Green Bay Packers ($600,000), Pittsburg Steelers, ($36,000) Minnesota Vikings ($605,000), Atlanta Falcons ($1,049,500) Indianapolis Colts ($620,000), Buffalo Bills ($679,000), Dallas Cowboys ($62,500), Miami Dolphins ($20,000), Kansas City Chiefs ($250,000), St. Louis Rams ($60,000), and the afore-mentioned Jets.
ARLIN REPORT QUOTE OF THE DAY

A question actually: “Is there any honesty in any area or aspect of our lives, where cheating or corruption does not exist?” Please, tell me if there is!
THE NFL SCANDALS vs POLITICS/GOV IN THE U.S.
Deflategate, as it is called by the mainstream media has been getting a lot of press. Several press conferences with quarterback Tom Brady and coach Bill Belichick of the New England Patriots have been held as well as owner Robert Kraft. It has been an issue on the news and a huge issue on sports news and programs, particularly talk shows. Whether the investigation finds that there was cheating by releasing air from the footballs by the Pats or not, much attention has been drawn towards the team and the NFL. Fans that have a dislike for the Patriots, and there are many, keep the conversation moving and are screaming CHEATERS, especially with the biggest game of the season on Sunday.
Benghazi, should get so much attention and concern. How is it, our political scandals and government official’s misconduct and corruption can’t compare to what happens in the NFL. I know there are diehard fans. We should be so lucky to have diehard citizens, with as much interest keeping politics (government) clean as the National Football League. You would think, We the People would hold the government and politicians more accountable. We expect our professional sports teams to play by the rules. We throw a flag when they don’t and we scream when we feel our team has been treated unfairly. The winner of the Superbowl is not as important as the winner of the next presidential election. We will survive no matter who wins THE GAME, whether they did fairly or not. We don’t want or need cheating in the NFL, MLB or NHL……..we don’t want that taught to our children, but we’d survive. We must be more concerned with who we put in the big house at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue this next time. We’ve had enough lies and corruption. That is about our children and grandchildren’s future.
We don’t need any repeat offenders in the White House. Go ahead read between the lines, you know who I am talking about, they’re a team of their own. The media could do well to cover the garbage that goes on in Washington, no not the Redskins, as they do the sports world.
Enjoy the game.
NFL OPENING SUNDAY

It’s the first Sunday of the 2014 NFL season. I haven’t had many visitors or viewers today on my blogs………too busy watching games I guess.
Are people more interested in National League Football than they are with what else is going on in the world or their country? This is an unofficial survey. I have only been blogging for 2 months, but, this is my first Sunday during the NFL season, and my blogging numbers have dropped off significantly. I was just curious, what do you think?
