AMERICA IN THE CROSS-HAIRS

Sports teams, those ranked number one have targets on their backs.  Everyone is out to defeat the best, the strongest, long running dynasties.  Being on top represents power.  Number one sets the bar.

Everyone wants to knock you off the top spot, bring you down a few notches, and rise above you.  To the rest of the world you are the bully, the arrogant, inflict too much of your influence.

The United States has been on top of the world, the super power, world policeman, savior of good (questionable), wealthiest of nations.   We have been the envy of many.   Most influential of nations, too often too much so.  We have stuck our noses where it didn’t belong, but that is what being number one does.  Our leaders become arrogant, invading, pushing their influence and ideals around a world without knowing or understanding cultures and history.  History repeats itself, we don’t learn our lessons very well.

We have become the modern-day Roman Empire, and “et tu America  falling”.   We have very few allies anymore.  Those we have, have become shaky, such as Israel.   Obama has done his best to rid us of any friends.   We may be (are) the most hated nation on earth.   The target is on our back.   Not only do our enemies want to knock us down, they want to eliminate us.  We sleep with wolves in sheep’s clothing constantly; that comes from lack of/no leadership.

Our enemies and they are many have us in their sites, they don’t just come from abroad, they come from within.   Some of those wolves reside in Washington, DC, in a White House and Halls of Congress.

USA, ISRAEL GET IT TOGETHER

The ISIS now tells the Palestinians to be patient, they will come and fight the “Barbaric Jews”.   There is no reason to believe they won’t.  The 72 hour ceasefire is a joke, and one that has probably already been broken as I write.

Watching the Israeli and Palestinian/Hamas war unfold further, with this added threat, it can only escalate.   If the ISIS follows up, they may be getting more than they want and so will Gaza.  I doubt that Israel has shown all their cards.

Americans, are we paying attention?   We take our freedom  and the peace we do have for granted.  We absolutely have an interest in this war.   Islam hates the Americans as much as the Jews.   We have heard the chants “Death to America”, Islam teaches it to their young.   They have struck us before and on our own ground, I don’t need to remind you of the date.  They will strike again…..they have promised as much.  We have loose borders and Obama is tight with the Muslim Brotherhood.    Speaking of the say nothing, do nothing POTUS, he is simply working his agenda.  We are being set up.    Obama wants to lower our daily lives to mirror that of the Middle East.   Islamic terrorists must destroy Little Satan (Israel)  before they can destroy the Great Satan (the U.S.).

How much do we enjoy our way of life in the U.S.?   We take our morning walks in the neighborhood and the parks.  We attend our children’s baseball games.   We go to the free admission St. Louis Zoo, or attend a Cubs and Cardinals baseball game.  We go to our theaters. We go to the stadium or watch the NFL in the comfort of our living rooms on Sunday.   Yes we take it all for granted.   We have what no one else has in the world right here at home in the USA.  We have it because of our Founding Fathers and all those who fought and sacrificed defending our country, our freedom and all that comes with it.  What are we willing to do to keep it?

Obama’s ruling philosophy is cancerous and it is spreading, up to now it has gone untreated.  Unlike “his promises of hope”, we have hope, there is a cure, the Constitution.  Congress has the means to take away his Executive power.

We have come too far as a nation to allow one man and his team divide us.   We need Israel to endure.  God bless America.

I THOUGHT ISRAEL WOULD STOP THE DESTRUCTION OF GAZA IF HAMAS PUT AN END TO THEIR BOMBING.   NOW I AM NOT SO SURE.

I REALLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND OTHER THAN IT IS A WAY OF LIFE, ONE SIDE WILL NOT BE SATISFIED UNTIL THE OTHER NO LONGER EXISTS.  IN BETWEEN PERIODS OF PEACE ONLY FOR REGROUPING.   THE HATE IS SO DEEP, WILL HAMAS NOT STOP TILL THEY AND ALL PALESTINIANS ARE DESTROYED ?

WILL ISRAEL CONTINUE EVEN IF HAMAS ENDS THEIR BOMBING?  THIS ATTITUDE BELOW INDICATES THEY WILL.

Searching for Palestinian and Israel Understanding

Late Monday night July 28, 2014

I solemnly write tonight after a day of contemplation over the Israeli and Palestinian war; what else can you call it?   Innocent lives are lost, on both sides, many of which are children.  This is nothing new, civilians die in wars.

I have read the tweets from those living in Gaza this evening, while bombs were dropping around them.   I tweeted one 16-year-old girl wondering, as she stated, if she would live through the evening.   Now I certainly have no way of knowing if she was in the middle of the bombings, but I have no reason not to believe her; it’s certainly possible.  I am also quite aware that people, any people can use social media for sympathy and twist the truth of what is happening.   I also read tweets of Israeli’s, while they wanted it to end, their tone was not as heavy, possibly because they weren’t being hammered like Gaza.   Here is what I do know, if Hamas continues to  fires missiles at Israel, Gaza is going to continue to get hammered by the Israeli’s.

I have been doing a lot of research, trying to get a better understanding why Israel and the Palestinians remain enemies, so content it seems to destroy the other.   It is no secret they hate one another.   That may be a greater understatement than anything Obama has shared during his presidency, particularly the 2nd term.

I am not a university professor, I truthfully only knew the basics about the Israel vs. Palestinian history.   I have learned a lot in a short period.    I can not tell you all the references I have hit for information.  I selected resources I felt would be most unbiased with accurate facts.   I did not seek authors giving their opinion.

What I have learned is the Jews returned to the region they currently occupy beginning in 1917 with the heaviest flow around 1947.   The Arabs became more interested in settling in only after the Jewish people improved the agriculture and further developed the territory.    That’s when things went bad, but then the history between the two has always been bad.

There is much history, the U.N. dividing the land basically because the two people’s or I should say religions could not live together as one.  Then the Six Day War…….. and today’s war, along with everything in between.   It’s not as simple as that, but I am not the one to give a history lesson here.  Here is an opinion, why there will always be war between Israeli’s and Palestinians.

Palestinian’s, Hamas have made it clear over what seems to be generations and lifetimes they will not be content until all the Jews are dead.  The hate runs too deep for too long for attitudes to change. The children are taught to hate Jews.   I believe Israel initiates military offenses because they understand this, they are defending their future.

It is difficult seeing children hurt and killed because of the actions of their elders on both sides.   I believe this is more about religion than it is occupation of land.  If there was not an ocean between us, the U.S. would be right in the middle with Israel.   We are the Great Satan to the Muslim world……we will continue to be targets as well.

Attitudes that have been present since what seems the beginning of time, will never change.  That is a sad thought, history repeats itself.  I am searching for more understanding.
