John Adams—To Thomas Jefferson (July 9, 1813)

Very interesting read, takes 5-10 min. to do so; great over a cup of coffee.

John Adams replies to Thomas Jefferson regarding partisan politics.

I say, parties and factions will not suffer improvements to be made. As soon as one man hints at an improvement, his rival opposes it. No sooner has one party discovered or invented any amelioration of the condition of man, or the order of society than the opposite party belies it, misconstrues it, misrepresents it, ridicules it, insults it, and persecutes it. Records are destroyed. Histories are annihilated or interpolated or prohibited; sometimes by Popes, sometimes by Emperors, sometimes by aristocratical, and sometimes by democratical assemblies, and sometimes by mobs.

To Thomas Jefferson.

26 states seeking to block Obama’s orders, Missouri is not among them. Why not? Jay Nixon, Missouri’s governor appears a little too tight with the administration in Washington, with Obama and Jarrett.

Judge may sanction Justice Department over executive action: ‘Can I trust the president?’

Anybody  want to answer that question? Can I trust the president?

Over a hundred protesters stood outside of the federal courthouse on Thursday, March 19, 2015, holding handmade signs and chanting in megaphones. The Justice Department might face sanctions if a federal judge determines its attorneys misled him about whether part of President Barack Obama’s executive action on immigration was implemented prior to it being put on hold by the judge. U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen last month halted Obama’s plan. The president’s plan would spare from deportation up to 5 million people in the U.S. illegally.

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (AP) – A federal judge who has blocked President Barack Obama’s immigration executive action suggested on Thursday that he could order sanctions against the Justice Department if he rules it misled him about when exactly the administration began…

The activists are claiming the money was stolen through the Haiti Reconstruction Commission that was headed by Bill Clinton. In January 2015, the Clinton Foundation was the target of protests for wasting more than $10 billion and awarding contracts to non-Haitian companies.

The activists also said Haiti as a cover for foreign governments to funnel kickbacks of hundreds of millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation. They believe that this was done for favors that Hillary was doing for the foreign governments while she was Secretary of State. via | Washington Free Beacon.

illegalsDuring a hearing today ordered by U.S. District Judge Andrew S. Hanen in Texas, Department of Justice Lawyers spent time explaining the circumstances of the 100,000 illegals that were granted work permits under the expanded DACA program that he had placed an injunction.

It was in the original hearing for the injunction that DOJ attorneys assured the court that no illegals had been granted status in either the newly defined DAPA program, the program to allow parents here illegally because children were born here, or expansion of the DACA program that allowed the parents to stay here on a deferred basis.

It takes a village idiot: Hillary’s bizarre plan to send U.S. adults to camp–“fun” camp!

I could not pass up reblogging.

My latest blog post for the Independent Women’s Forum:

Hello muddah, hello faddah, here I am at Camp Hillary!

Being no spring chicken myself, I’m loath to call into question the former first lady/secretary of state’s mental faculties, and yeah, she was addressing a bunch of camp counselors–but really!

“As I have gotten older, I have decided we really need camps for adults. And we need adults camps that you all run. Really. None of the serious stuff. None of the life-challenging stuff… more fun. I think we have a huge fun deficit in America. And we need to figure out how to fill that fun deficit, certainly for our kids but also for the rest of us. We need some [garbled] from time to time, maybe some enrichment, certainly some time outdoors. Maybe actually spending time with people that we didn’t know before.”
