I have several rose bushes, one is about 6 ft. tall and 4 ft. wide with red roses; I still have blooms on them. Occasionally a new bud appears even on the small bushes. You’ve been to Missouri, we don’t get cold til January, what is really cold. We don’t usually have that many single digit or below zero temps anymore; but I don’t remember seeing roses keep their blooms this late when I was younger. It’s been that way the last couple of years.

And thank God that I live in an area where we can enjoy them most months of the year (the months you can enjoy them are months we can’t!)
